Stop doing takes… Just keep talking.

Most first videos die on take 4, not in the edit. Record the way you answer a client, stumbles and all, and let Storytime keep the version you finished.

Whether you've never finished a video, or you've deleted more recordings than you've posted, keep reading…

Recording a video usually goes like this:

Take 1, you stumble on the second sentence.

Take 2, you get further, then lose your place.

Take 3, it's fine, but you sound like you're reading.

Take 4, you close the app.

It's normal. Almost everyone does it, and it's why so many videos never get posted.

The video was never the hard part. Starting over was.

Then I noticed what never happens on a phone call…

Nobody asks for a second take in a conversation

When a client asks you a question, you don't stop after a bad sentence and start again from "Hi, so…".

You say "actually, let me put it another way", and keep going.

You pause to think.

You restart a sentence halfway.

You go back and add the bit you forgot.

Nobody notices. They hear the answer, not the stumbles.

A take is different. It asks you to perform the whole thing perfectly, in one go, while you watch yourself do it. That's a skill actors train for years. You don't need it to explain what you know.

A take asks you to perform.

A conversation only asks you to answer.

To record a video without retakes, you could:

  • Leave the camera rolling when you stumble
  • Pause, breathe, and say the sentence again
  • Clap before each retry so you can find it later
  • Cut every false start out in a video editor
Or, you could let Storytime do all of it for you.

So why does everyone stop and start again?

Because every stumble you leave in is a cut you'll have to make later.

10 minutes of rambling means scrubbing through the timeline, finding each restart, and trimming it to the frame. So instead, you chase the clean take. You do it again, and again, until it's perfect or you've lost the will to post it.

That's the part we built Storytime to remove.

You open Storytime, press record, and talk like the client is sitting in front of you. Fluff a line? Just say it again and keep going.

No retakes. MagicTake finds the false starts, the repeated sentences and the ums you didn't mean, and keeps the version you finished.

No editing. It cuts the dead air, adds captions, visuals, music and your brand, and formats the video for wherever you're posting.

1 recording. 1 finished video.

❌ You don't need a clean take.

❌ You don't need to start over.

✅ You just need to keep talking.

Pick 1 question a client asked you this week, give Storytime a try, and answer it once 🚀
